InRTL: Effective Intra-Inter Interaction Learning for Relational Tables

14 September 2026 at 12:00
arXiv:2609.12712v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Relational table learning has recently emerged as an important research direction for modeling multiple tables connected through primary key-foreign key (PK-FK) relationships. Despite recent advances, a principled modeling framework tailored to this task remains underexplored. In this paper, we propose Intra-Inter Relational Table Learning (InRTL), a unified framework that explicitly models dependencies both within and across relational tables. Specifically, InRTL formalizes two complementary interaction patterns: intra-table interactions, describing associations among rows within the same table, and inter-table interactions, describing dependencies between rows across PK-FK-linked tables. To model these dependencies, we develop a column-aware table encoder to generate initial row representations, followed by Transformer-based self-attention and cross-attention modules for intra-table and inter-table learning, respectively. To further improve scalability, InRTL incorporates linearized attention and heterogeneous graph neural networks to simplify the self-attention and cross-attention operations. Extensive experiments on ten datasets covering 24 real-world tasks demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach. Code is available at https://github.com/W1nterFloW/InRTL.

arXiv:2604.04060v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: As Large Language Models (LLMs) are increasingly deployed in complex applications, their vulnerability to adversarial attacks raises urgent safety concerns, especially those evolving over multi-round interactions. Existing defenses are largely reactive and struggle to adapt as adversaries refine strategies across rounds. In this work, we propose CoopGuard , a stateful multi-round LLM defense framework based on cooperative agents that maintains and updates an internal defense state to counter evolving attacks. It employs three specialized agents (Deferring Agent, Tempting Agent, and Forensic Agent) for complementary round-level strategies, coordinated by System Agent, which conditions decisions on the evolving defense state (interaction history) and orchestrates agents over time. To evaluate evolving threats, we introduce the EMRA benchmark with 5,200 adversarial samples across 8 attack types, simulating progressively LLM multi-round attacks. Experiments show that CoopGuard reduces attack success rate by 78.9% over state-of-the-art defenses, while improving deceptive rate by 186% and reducing attack efficiency by 167.9%, offering a more comprehensive assessment of multi-round defense. These results demonstrate that CoopGuard provides robust protection for LLMs in multi-round adversarial scenarios.

Unifying Ranking and Generation in Query Auto-Completion via Retrieval-Augmented Generation and Multi-Objective Alignment

arXiv:2602.01023v4 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Query Auto-Completion (QAC) suggests query completions as users type, helping them articulate intent and reach results more efficiently. Existing approaches face fundamental challenges: traditional retrieve-and-rank pipelines have limited long-tail coverage and require extensive feature engineering, while recent generative methods suffer from hallucination and safety risks. We present a unified framework that reformulates QAC as end-to-end list generation through Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and multi-objective Direct Preference Optimization (DPO). Our approach combines three key innovations: (1) reformulating QAC as end-to-end list generation with multi-objective optimization; (2) defining and deploying a suite of rule-based, model-based, and LLM-as-judge verifiers for QAC, and using them in a comprehensive methodology that combines RAG, multi-objective DPO, and iterative critique-revision for high-quality synthetic data; (3) a hybrid serving architecture enabling efficient production deployment under strict latency constraints. Evaluation on a large-scale commercial search platform demonstrates substantial improvements: offline metrics show gains across all dimensions, human evaluation yields +0.40 to +0.69 preference scores, and a controlled online experiment achieves 5.44\% reduction in keystrokes and 3.46\% increase in suggestion adoption, validating that unified generation with RAG and multi-objective alignment provides an effective solution for production QAC. This work represents a paradigm shift to end-to-end generation powered by large language models, RAG, and multi-objective alignment, establishing a production-validated framework that can benefit the broader search and recommendation industry.
