TRACER: A Semantic-Aware Framework for Fine-Grained Contamination Detection in Code LLMs

arXiv:2605.24079v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Data contamination is a known threat to the reliability of model evaluation. However, it remains underexplored in code large language models (LLMs), where contamination often goes beyond exact duplication. We present TRACER, a semantic-aware framework for fine-grained code contamination detection. TRACER models contamination using three levels of semantic overlap - Functionally Identical, Nearly Identical, and Shared Logic - and detects them through a coarse-to-fine pipeline. We also introduce the first benchmark for fine-grained code contamination detection, spanning three widely used benchmarks and three representative post-training datasets. TRACER achieves strong and consistent performance across multiple LLM backbones, with GPT-5 reaching an F1 score of 0.91 in fine-grained detection. In the binary setting, TRACER attains an F1 of 0.92, outperforming existing methods by 42%-217%. We further conduct ablation studies and error analysis to assess the contributions of individual components in TRACER.

Rethinking Weak Supervision in Anomaly Detection: A Comprehensive Benchmark

arXiv:2605.26068v2 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Weakly supervised anomaly detection (WSAD) has developed in three primary directions: incomplete, inexact, and inaccurate supervision. However, these directions remain isolated, lacking a unified framework to assess whether they address unique challenges or share fundamental mechanics. This paper introduces WSADBench, the first benchmark that unifies evaluation across distinct weakly supervised scenarios, benchmarking diverse approaches from specialized WSAD methods to advanced tabular foundation models. WSADBench establishes standardized protocols to evaluate 36 algorithms across 4 modalities by systematically varying label quantity, granularity, and quality, revealing the performance boundaries of various methods. Based on over 700K experiments, WSADBench reveals four critical insights: (i) Strong intrinsic correlations exist between these weak supervision scenarios, challenging the isolation of current research directions. (ii) Specialized WSAD algorithms excel only in extreme label-scarcity regimes but are quickly dominated by tabular foundation models and general classification methods as supervision increases or in OOD scenarios. (iii) Unlabeled data shows inconsistent utility across settings, with marginal gains compared to label refinement. (iv) Models exhibit asymmetric sensitivity to different types of label noise. We release WSADBench as an open-source benchmark with code and datasets to facilitate future WSAD research: https://github.com/SUFE-AILAB/WSADBench.

SoLA: Leveraging Soft Activation Sparsity and Low-Rank Decomposition for Large Language Model Compression

arXiv:2604.03258v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Large language models (LLMs) have demonstrated impressive capabilities across various tasks, but the billion-scale parameters pose deployment challenges. Although existing methods attempt to reduce the scale of LLMs, they require either special hardware support or expensive post-training to maintain model quality. To facilitate efficient and affordable model slimming, we propose a novel training-free compression method for LLMs, named "SoLA", which leverages \textbf{So}ft activation sparsity and \textbf{L}ow-r\textbf{A}nk decomposition. SoLA can identify and retain a minority of components significantly contributing to inference, while compressing the majority through low-rank decomposition, based on our analysis of the activation pattern in the feed-forward network (FFN) of modern LLMs. To alleviate the decomposition loss, SoLA is equipped with an adaptive component-wise low-rank allocation strategy to assign appropriate truncation positions for different weight matrices. We conduct extensive experiments on LLaMA-2-7B/13B/70B and Mistral-7B models across a variety of benchmarks. SoLA exhibits remarkable improvement in both language modeling and downstream task accuracy without post-training. For example, with a 30\% compression rate on the LLaMA-2-70B model, SoLA surpasses the state-of-the-art method by reducing perplexity from 6.95 to 4.44 and enhancing downstream task accuracy by 10\%.

Xpertbench: Expert Level Tasks with Rubrics-Based Evaluation

arXiv:2604.02368v3 Announce Type: replace Abstract: As Large Language Models (LLMs) exhibit plateauing performance on conventional benchmarks, a pivotal challenge persists: evaluating their proficiency in complex, open-ended tasks characterizing genuine expert-level cognition. Existing frameworks suffer from narrow domain coverage, reliance on generalist tasks, or self-evaluation biases. To bridge this gap, we present XpertBench, a high-fidelity benchmark engineered to assess LLMs across authentic professional domains. XpertBench consists of 1,346 meticulously curated tasks across 80 categories, spanning finance, healthcare, legal services, education, and dual-track research (STEM and Humanities). These tasks are derived from over 1,000 submissions by domain experts--including researchers from elite institutions and practitioners with extensive clinical or industrial experience--ensuring superior ecological validity. Each task uses detailed rubrics with mostly 15-40 weighted checkpoints to assess professional rigor. To facilitate scalable yet human-aligned assessment, we introduce ShotJudge, a novel evaluation paradigm that employs LLM judges calibrated with expert few-shot exemplars to mitigate self-rewarding biases. Our empirical evaluation of state-of-the-art LLMs reveals a pronounced performance ceiling: even leading models achieve a peak success rate of only ~66%, with a mean score around 55%. Models also exhibit domain-specific divergence, showing non-overlapping strengths in quantitative reasoning versus linguistic synthesis.. These findings underscore a significant "expert-gap" in current AI systems and establish XpertBench as a critical instrument for navigating the transition from general-purpose assistants to specialized professional collaborators.

IntPro: A Proxy Agent for Context-Aware Intent Understanding via Retrieval-conditioned Inference

arXiv:2603.03325v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Large language models (LLMs) have become integral to modern Human-AI collaboration workflows, where accurately understanding user intent serves as a crucial step for generating satisfactory responses. Context-aware intent understanding, which involves inferring user intentions from situational environments, is inherently challenging because it requires reasoning over both the immediate context and the user's underlying motivations that drive their behavior. Moreover, existing approaches often treat intent understanding as a static recognition task, overlooking users' accumulated intent patterns that could provide valuable references for more accurate and generalizable understanding. To address this gap, we propose IntPro, a proxy agent that learns to adapt to individual users via retrieval-conditioned intent inference. We design intent explanations that abstract how contextual signals connect to expressed intents, and store them in an individual intent history library for retrieval. We train IntPro through supervised fine-tuning on retrieval-conditioned trajectories and multi-turn Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) with tool-aware reward functions, enabling the agent to learn when to leverage historical intent patterns and when to infer directly. Experiments across three diverse scenarios (Highlight-Intent, MIntRec2.0, and Weibo Post-Sync) demonstrate that IntPro achieves strong intent understanding performance with effective context-aware reasoning capabilities across different scenarios and model types.
