Improved Constrained Generation by Bridging Pretrained Generative Models

arXiv:2603.06742v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Constrained generative modeling is fundamental to applications such as robotic control and autonomous driving, where models must respect physical laws and safety-critical constraints. In real-world settings, these constraints rarely take the form of simple linear inequalities, but instead complex feasible regions that resemble road maps or other structured spatial domains. We propose a constrained generation framework that generates samples directly within such feasible regions while preserving realism. Our method fine-tunes a pretrained generative model to enforce constraints while maintaining generative fidelity. Experimentally, our method exhibits characteristics distinct from existing fine-tuning and training-free constrained baselines, revealing a new compromise between constraint satisfaction and sampling quality.

iGVLM: Dynamic Instruction-Guided Vision Encoding for Question-Aware Multimodal Understanding

arXiv:2603.02748v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Despite the success of Large Vision--Language Models (LVLMs), most existing architectures suffer from a representation bottleneck: they rely on static, instruction-agnostic vision encoders whose visual representations are utilized in an invariant manner across different textual tasks. This rigidity hinders fine-grained reasoning where task-specific visual cues are critical. To address this issue, we propose iGVLM, a general framework for instruction-guided visual modulation. iGVLM introduces a decoupled dual-branch architecture: a frozen representation branch that preserves task-agnostic visual representations learned during pre-training, and a dynamic conditioning branch that performs affine feature modulation via Adaptive Layer Normalization (AdaLN). This design enables a smooth transition from general-purpose perception to instruction-aware reasoning while maintaining the structural integrity and stability of pre-trained visual priors. Beyond standard benchmarks, we introduce MM4, a controlled diagnostic probe for quantifying logical consistency under multi-query, multi-instruction settings. Extensive results show that iGVLM consistently enhances instruction sensitivity across diverse language backbones, offering a plug-and-play paradigm for bridging passive perception and active reasoning.

ITO: Images and Texts as One via Synergizing Multiple Alignment and Training-Time Fusion

arXiv:2603.02767v3 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Image-text contrastive pretraining has become a dominant paradigm for visual representation learning, yet existing methods often yield representations that remain partially organized by modality. We propose ITO, a framework addressing this limitation through two synergistic mechanisms. Multimodal multiple alignment enriches supervision by mining diverse image-text correspondences, while a lightweight training-time multimodal fusion module enforces structured cross-modal interaction. Crucially, the fusion module is discarded at inference, preserving the efficiency of standard dual-encoder architectures. Extensive experiments show that ITO consistently outperforms strong baselines across classification, retrieval, and multimodal benchmarks. Our analysis reveals that while multiple alignment drives discriminative power, training-time fusion acts as a critical structural regularizer -- eliminating the modality gap and stabilizing training dynamics to prevent the early saturation often observed in aggressive contrastive learning.

Separators in Enhancing Autoregressive Pretraining for Vision Mamba

arXiv:2603.03806v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: The state space model Mamba has recently emerged as a promising paradigm in computer vision, attracting significant attention due to its efficient processing of long sequence tasks. Mamba's inherent causal mechanism renders it particularly suitable for autoregressive pretraining. However, current autoregressive pretraining methods are constrained to short sequence tasks, failing to fully exploit Mamba's prowess in handling extended sequences. To address this limitation, we introduce an innovative autoregressive pretraining method for Vision Mamba that substantially extends the input sequence length. We introduce new \textbf{S}epara\textbf{T}ors for \textbf{A}uto\textbf{R}egressive pretraining to demarcate and differentiate between different images, known as \textbf{STAR}. Specifically, we insert identical separators before each image to demarcate its inception. This strategy enables us to quadruple the input sequence length of Vision Mamba while preserving the original dimensions of the dataset images. Employing this long sequence pretraining technique, our STAR-B model achieved an impressive accuracy of 83.5\% on ImageNet-1k, which is highly competitive in Vision Mamba. These results underscore the potential of our method in enhancing the performance of vision models through improved leveraging of long-range dependencies.

City Editing: Hierarchical Agentic Execution for Dependency-Aware Urban Geospatial Modification

arXiv:2602.19326v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: As cities evolve over time, challenges such as traffic congestion and functional imbalance increasingly necessitate urban renewal through efficient modification of existing plans, rather than complete re-planning. In practice, even minor urban changes require substantial manual effort to redraw geospatial layouts, slowing the iterative planning and decision-making procedure. Motivated by recent advances in agentic systems and multimodal reasoning, we formulate urban renewal as a machine-executable task that iteratively modifies existing urban plans represented in structured geospatial formats. More specifically, we represent urban layouts using GeoJSON and decompose natural-language editing instructions into hierarchical geometric intents spanning polygon-, line-, and point-level operations. To coordinate interdependent edits across spatial elements and abstraction levels, we propose a hierarchical agentic framework that jointly performs multi-level planning and execution with explicit propagation of intermediate spatial constraints. We further introduce an iterative execution-validation mechanism that mitigates error accumulation and enforces global spatial consistency during multi-step editing. Extensive experiments across diverse urban editing scenarios demonstrate significant improvements in efficiency, robustness, correctness, and spatial validity over existing baselines.

Hierarchical Audio-Visual-Proprioceptive Fusion for Precise Robotic Manipulation

arXiv:2602.13640v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Existing robotic manipulation methods primarily rely on visual and proprioceptive observations, which may struggle to infer contact-related interaction states in partially observable real-world environments. Acoustic cues, by contrast, naturally encode rich interaction dynamics during contact, yet remain underexploited in current multimodal fusion literature. Most multimodal fusion approaches implicitly assume homogeneous roles across modalities, and thus design flat and symmetric fusion structures. However, this assumption is ill-suited for acoustic signals, which are inherently sparse and contact-driven. To achieve precise robotic manipulation through acoustic-informed perception, we propose a hierarchical representation fusion framework that progressively integrates audio, vision, and proprioception. Our approach first conditions visual and proprioceptive representations on acoustic cues, and then explicitly models higher-order cross-modal interactions to capture complementary dependencies among modalities. The fused representation is leveraged by a diffusion-based policy to directly generate continuous robot actions from multimodal observations. The combination of end-to-end learning and hierarchical fusion structure enables the policy to exploit task-relevant acoustic information while mitigating interference from less informative modalities. The proposed method has been evaluated on real-world robotic manipulation tasks, including liquid pouring and cabinet opening. Extensive experiment results demonstrate that our approach consistently outperforms state-of-the-art multimodal fusion frameworks, particularly in scenarios where acoustic cues provide task-relevant information not readily available from visual observations alone. Furthermore, a mutual information analysis is conducted to interpret the effect of audio cues in robotic manipulation via multimodal fusion.

Dataforge: Agentic Platform for Autonomous Data Engineering

arXiv:2511.06185v2 Announce Type: replace Abstract: The growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) applications in materials discovery, molecular modeling, and climate science has made data preparation a critical but labor-intensive bottleneck. Raw data from diverse sources must be cleaned, normalized, and transformed to become AI-ready, where effective feature transformation and selection are essential for robust learning. We present Dataforge, an LLM-powered agentic data engineering platform for tabular data that is automatic, safe, and non-expert friendly. It autonomously performs data cleaning and iteratively optimizes feature operations under a budgeted feedback loop with automatic stopping. Across tabular benchmarks, it achieves the best overall downstream performance; ablations further confirm the roles of routing/iterative refinement and grounding in accuracy and reliability. Dataforge demonstrates a practical path toward autonomous data agents that transform raw data from data to better data.
