Intranasal delivery of a vasoactive intestinal peptide-based circRNA vaccine induces systemic and mucosal immunity against RSV in mice

A vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP)-based protein carrier self-assembles with respiratory syncytial virus circular RNA vaccines for intranasal delivery, inducing systemic antibodies, mucosal IgA, and Th1-biased protection in mice. This platform offers a protein-guided strategy for respiratory mucosal RNA vaccination and broadens the application of VIP in vaccine delivery.

In vivo-directed evolution identifies AAV-WM04 as a next-generation vector for potent and sustained hearing restoration in DFNB9

AAV-WM04, an AAV vector identified through in-vivo-directed screening in the adult cochlea, enables highly efficient and selective inner hair cell transduction. Dual-AAV delivery of OTOF using AAV-WM04 restores hearing in a DFNA9 deafness mouse model at low doses, highlighting its translational potential for gene therapy.

SlideChat is a multimodal generative artificial intelligence assistant for whole-slide computational pathology across cancer types

Nature Cancer, Published online: 01 September 2026; doi:10.1038/s43018-026-01220-4

Chen et al. have developed SlideChat, a multimodal generative artificial intelligence assistant, which they benchmark on 27 pathology tasks across 33 cancer types. Expert pathologists rated the assistant as clinically relevant and accurate.
