Arbitrium phages can manipulate each otherβs lysis/lysogeny decisions
Arbitrium phages belonging to different species and genera can influence each otherβs infection dynamics by secreting chemically similar, non-cognate signal peptides. These findings indicate that arbitrium-based communication is not as specific as previously thought.
