Stereochemical origin of potential hysteresis in lithium metal batteries with lithium-rich cation-disordered rocksalt positive electrodes

Nature Nanotechnology, Published online: 05 October 2026; doi:10.1038/s41565-026-02301-2

Multiscale physicochemical and electrochemical characterizations demonstrate that atomic-scale structural distortion and nanoscale short-range ordering govern the thermodynamic and kinetic components of potential hysteresis in Li||DRX cells.

Embodied-BenchForge: A Closed-Loop Agentic Workflow for Embodied Benchmark Construction

arXiv:2609.13082v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Agentic systems offer a promising way to automate embodied benchmark construction, but existing approaches typically cover isolated stages or remain specialized to predefined environments and task families. More importantly, multi-step construction produces dependent intermediate artifacts that are often passed downstream without artifact-specific verification, allowing local defects to propagate into the final benchmark. We present Embodied-BenchForge, an agentic framework that transforms user-specified evaluation intents into complete embodied benchmark artifacts. It formulates construction as Closed-Loop Benchmark Synthesis, integrating forward artifact synthesis with backward verification and repair. Skill-Orchestrated Artifact Synthesis composes typed and reusable skills into executable workflows, while an artifact dependency graph records intermediate outputs and their dependencies. Requirement-Guided Verification and Repair applies artifact-specific contracts throughout construction and uses provenance to trigger local re-execution or upstream rollback when verification fails. Embodied-BenchForge constructs six benchmarks covering diverse embodied scenarios in the Offline EQA Track, together with one interactive benchmark containing 220 executable tasks in the Interactive Embodied Track. Evaluations of representative MLLMs and embodied agents show that the benchmarks distinguish model capabilities in both observation-based understanding and closed-loop execution. Quality assessment and ablations validate benchmark quality and the effectiveness of verification and repair, while repair and skill-reuse analyses demonstrate efficient localized recovery and cross-benchmark reusability.

Integrated Network Toxicology and Metabolomics Elucidate Mechanisms of Carbosulfan-Induced Respiratory Toxicity in Rats

Int J Mol Sci. 2026 Feb 25;27(5):2170. doi: 10.3390/ijms27052170.

ABSTRACT

Carbosulfan is a widely used carbamate insecticide, yet its mechanisms of respiratory toxicity remain poorly understood. This study integrated network toxicology, untargeted metabolomics, and molecular docking to systematically investigate the potential mechanisms of carbosulfan-induced respiratory toxicity in male Sprague Dawley rats. Rats were administered a single oral dose of carbosulfan (125 or 250 mg/kg) and assessed after 12 h. Exposure resulted in significant pathological lung damage, characterized by disrupted alveolar architecture, inflammatory cell infiltration, and increased serum levels of the pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6, IL-1β, and TNF-α. Network toxicology analysis identified 51 potential targets associated with respiratory toxicity, with core targets including SRC, EGFR, PTGS2, CXCL8, CYP3A4, and NR3C1. Enriched pathways were primarily related to neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction, VEGF signaling, and arachidonic acid metabolism. Untargeted metabolomics revealed significant metabolic perturbations in pathways central to antioxidant defense and energy homeostasis, including glutathione metabolism, the tricarboxylic acid cycle, and arginine biosynthesis. Molecular docking confirmed stable in silico binding affinities between carbosulfan and the predicted core targets. Integrative analysis suggests that carbosulfan exposure is associated with respiratory damage, potentially through interconnected mechanisms involving oxidative stress, inflammation, and disruption of cell signaling and metabolic enzyme systems. However, given the acute high-dose nature of the model and the interpretative integration of multi-omics data, these findings should be considered hypothesis-generating. This study provides a novel system-level perspective on carbosulfan-induced respiratory toxicity and highlights key pathways and targets for future validation in chronic exposure models.

\$OneMillion-Bench: How Far are Language Agents from Human Experts?

arXiv:2603.07980v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: As language models (LMs) evolve from chat assistants to long-horizon agents capable of multi-step reasoning and tool use, existing benchmarks remain largely confined to structured or exam-style tasks that fall short of real-world professional demands. To this end, we introduce \$OneMillion-Bench \$OneMillion-Bench, a benchmark of 400 expert-curated tasks spanning Law, Finance, Industry, Healthcare, and Natural Science, built to evaluate agents across economically consequential scenarios. Unlike prior work, the benchmark requires retrieving authoritative sources, resolving conflicting evidence, applying domain-specific rules, and making constraint decisions, where correctness depends as much on the reasoning process as the final answer. We adopt a rubric-based evaluation protocol scoring factual accuracy, logical coherence, practical feasibility, and professional compliance, focused on expert-level problems to ensure meaningful differentiation across agents. Together, \$OneMillion-Bench provides a unified testbed for assessing agentic reliability, professional depth, and practical readiness in domain-intensive scenarios.
