IGASA: Integrated Geometry-Aware and Skip-Attention Modules for Enhanced Point Cloud Registration

arXiv:2603.12719v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Point cloud registration (PCR) is a fundamental task in 3D vision and provides essential support for applications such as autonomous driving, robotics, and environmental modeling. Despite its widespread use, existing methods often fail when facing real-world challenges like heavy noise, significant occlusions, and large-scale transformations. These limitations frequently result in compromised registration accuracy and insufficient robustness in complex environments. In this paper, we propose IGASA as a novel registration framework constructed upon a Hierarchical Pyramid Architecture (HPA) designed for robust multi-scale feature extraction and fusion. The framework integrates two pivotal components consisting of the Hierarchical Cross-Layer Attention (HCLA) module and the Iterative Geometry-Aware Refinement (IGAR) module. The HCLA module utilizes skip attention mechanisms to align multi-resolution features and enhance local geometric consistency. Simultaneously, the IGAR module is designed for the fine matching phase by leveraging reliable correspondences established during coarse matching. This synergistic integration within the architecture allows IGASA to adapt effectively to diverse point cloud structures and intricate transformations. We evaluate the performance of IGASA on four widely recognized benchmark datasets including 3D(Lo)Match, KITTI, and nuScenes. Our extensive experiments consistently demonstrate that IGASA significantly surpasses state-of-the-art methods and achieves notable improvements in registration accuracy. This work provides a robust foundation for advancing point cloud registration techniques while offering valuable insights for practical 3D vision applications. The code for IGASA is available in \href{https://github.com/DongXu-Zhang/IGASA}{https://github.com/DongXu-Zhang/IGASA}.

Purify Once, Edit Freely: Breaking Image Protections under Model Mismatch

arXiv:2603.13028v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Diffusion models enable high-fidelity image editing but can also be misused for unauthorized style imitation and harmful content generation. To mitigate these risks, proactive image protection methods embed small, often imperceptible adversarial perturbations into images before sharing to disrupt downstream editing or fine-tuning. However, in realistic post-release scenarios, content owners cannot control downstream processing pipelines, and protections optimized for a surrogate model may fail when attackers use mismatched diffusion pipelines. Existing purification methods can weaken protections but often sacrifice image quality and rarely examine architectural mismatch. We introduce a unified post-release purification framework to evaluate protection survivability under model mismatch. We propose two practical purifiers: VAE-Trans, which corrects protected images via latent-space projection, and EditorClean, which performs instruction-guided reconstruction with a Diffusion Transformer to exploit architectural heterogeneity. Both operate without access to protected images or defense internals. Across 2,100 editing tasks and six representative protection methods, EditorClean consistently restores editability. Compared to protected inputs, it improves PSNR by 3-6 dB and reduces FID by 50-70 percent on downstream edits, while outperforming prior purification baselines by about 2 dB PSNR and 30 percent lower FID. Our results reveal a purify-once, edit-freely failure mode: once purification succeeds, the protective signal is largely removed, enabling unrestricted editing. This highlights the need to evaluate protections under model mismatch and design defenses robust to heterogeneous attackers.

MalURLBench: A Benchmark Evaluating Agents' Vulnerabilities When Processing Web URLs

arXiv:2601.18113v3 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: LLM-based web agents have become increasingly popular for their utility in daily life and work. However, they exhibit critical vulnerabilities when processing malicious URLs: accepting a disguised malicious URL enables subsequent access to unsafe webpages, which can cause severe damage to service providers and users. Despite this risk, no benchmark currently targets this emerging threat. To address this gap, we propose MalURLBench, the first benchmark for evaluating LLMs' vulnerabilities to malicious URLs. MalURLBench contains 61,845 attack instances spanning 10 real-world scenarios and 7 categories of real malicious websites. Experiments with 12 popular LLMs reveal that existing models struggle to detect elaborately disguised malicious URLs. We further identify and analyze key factors that impact attack success rates and propose URLGuard, a lightweight defense module. We believe this work will provide a foundational resource for advancing the security of web agents. Our code is available at https://github.com/JiangYingEr/MalURLBench.

VideoTemp-o3: Harmonizing Temporal Grounding and Video Understanding in Agentic Thinking-with-Videos

arXiv:2602.07801v3 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: In long-video understanding, conventional uniform frame sampling often fails to capture key visual evidence, leading to degraded performance and increased hallucinations. To address this, recent agentic thinking-with-videos paradigms have emerged, adopting a localize-clip-answer pipeline in which the model actively identifies relevant video segments, performs dense sampling within those clips, and then produces answers. However, existing methods remain inefficient, suffer from weak localization, and adhere to rigid workflows. To solve these issues, we propose VideoTemp-o3, a unified agentic thinking-with-videos framework that jointly models video grounding and question answering. VideoTemp-o3 exhibits strong localization capability, supports on-demand clipping, and can refine inaccurate localizations. Specifically, in the supervised fine-tuning stage, we design a unified masking mechanism that encourages exploration while preventing noise. For reinforcement learning, we introduce dedicated rewards to mitigate reward hacking. Besides, from the data perspective, we develop an effective pipeline to construct high-quality long video grounded QA data, along with a corresponding benchmark for systematic evaluation across various video durations. Experimental results demonstrate that our method achieves remarkable performance on both long video understanding and grounding.

Property-driven Protein Inverse Folding With Multi-Objective Preference Alignment

arXiv:2603.06748v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Protein sequence design must balance designability, defined as the ability to recover a target backbone, with multiple, often competing, developability properties such as solubility, thermostability, and expression. Existing approaches address these properties through post hoc mutation, inference-time biasing, or retraining on property-specific subsets, yet they are target dependent and demand substantial domain expertise or careful hyperparameter tuning. In this paper, we introduce ProtAlign, a multi-objective preference alignment framework that fine-tunes pretrained inverse folding models to satisfy diverse developability objectives while preserving structural fidelity. ProtAlign employs a semi-online Direct Preference Optimization strategy with a flexible preference margin to mitigate conflicts among competing objectives and constructs preference pairs using in silico property predictors. Applied to the widely used ProteinMPNN backbone, the resulting model MoMPNN enhances developability without compromising designability across tasks including sequence design for CATH 4.3 crystal structures, de novo generated backbones, and real-world binder design scenarios, making it an appealing framework for practical protein sequence design.

Hit-RAG: Learning to Reason with Long Contexts via Preference Alignment

arXiv:2603.07023v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Despite the promise of Retrieval-Augmented Generation in grounding Multimodal Large Language Models with external knowledge, the transition to extensive contexts often leads to significant attention dilution and reasoning hallucinations. The surge in information density causes critical evidence to be submerged by voluminous noise, which complicates the discernment of relevant fragments within a dense input. In this paper, we propose \textbf{Hit-RAG}, a multi-stage preference alignment framework designed to resolve these cognitive bottlenecks through a progressive optimization pipeline. Our approach systematically refines the utilization of external evidence via three distinct stages. First, Supervised Fine-tuning establishes baseline context awareness to minimize information neglect. Next, Discriminative Preference Alignment enhances robustness against misleading distractors. Finally, Group-Relative Policy Optimization stabilizes logical synthesis to prevent reasoning collapse. Extensive evaluations on eight benchmarks demonstrate that Hit-RAG consistently yields substantial performance gains, enabling models to bridge the gap between context acquisition and accurate reasoning while surpassing much larger counterparts in long-context scenarios.

Deep Expert Injection for Anchoring Retinal VLMs with Domain-Specific Knowledge

arXiv:2603.07131v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Large Vision Language Models (LVLMs) show immense potential for automated ophthalmic diagnosis. However, their clinical deployment is severely hindered by lacking domain-specific knowledge. In this work, we identify two structural deficiencies hindering reliable medical reasoning: 1) the Perception Gap, where general-purpose visual encoders fail to resolve fine-grained pathological cues (e.g., microaneurysms); and 2) the Reasoning Gap, where sparse visual evidence is progressively overridden by massive language priors in deeper transformer layers, leading to ungrounded hallucinations. To bridge these gaps, we propose EyExIn, a data-efficient framework designed to anchor retinal VLMs with expert knowledge via a Deep Expert Injection mechanism. Our architecture employs an Expert-Aware Dual-Stream encoding strategy that decouples visual representation into a general stream for anatomical context and a specialized expert stream for pathological semantics. To ensure high-fidelity integration, we design a Semantic-Adaptive Gated Fusion module, which dynamically amplifies subtle lesion signals while filtering irrelevant background noise. Furthermore, we introduce Adaptive Deep Expert Injection to embed persistent "Vision Anchors" by integrating fused visual features as residual biases directly into intermediate LLM layers. This mechanism creates a visual shortcut that forces the reasoning stack to remain strictly grounded in visual evidence. Extensive experiments across four benchmarks demonstrate that our model consistently outperforms massive proprietary systems. EyExIn significantly enhances domain-specific knowledge embedding and achieves state-of-the-art precision in ophthalmic visual question answering, advancing the development of trustworthy ophthalmic AI.

Kinematics-Aware Latent World Models for Data-Efficient Autonomous Driving

arXiv:2603.07264v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Data-efficient learning remains a central challenge in autonomous driving due to the high cost and safety risks of large-scale real-world interaction. Although world-model-based reinforcement learning enables policy optimization through latent imagination, existing approaches often lack explicit mechanisms to encode spatial and kinematic structure essential for driving tasks. In this work, we build upon the Recurrent State-Space Model (RSSM) and propose a kinematics-aware latent world model framework for autonomous driving. Vehicle kinematic information is incorporated into the observation encoder to ground latent transitions in physically meaningful motion dynamics, while geometry-aware supervision regularizes the RSSM latent state to capture task-relevant spatial structure beyond pixel reconstruction. The resulting structured latent dynamics improve long-horizon imagination fidelity and stabilize policy optimization. Experiments in a driving simulation benchmark demonstrate consistent gains over both model-free and pixel-based world-model baselines in terms of sample efficiency and driving performance. Ablation studies further verify that the proposed design enhances spatial representation quality within the latent space. These results suggest that integrating kinematic grounding into RSSM-based world models provides a scalable and physically grounded paradigm for autonomous driving policy learning.

\$OneMillion-Bench: How Far are Language Agents from Human Experts?

arXiv:2603.07980v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: As language models (LMs) evolve from chat assistants to long-horizon agents capable of multi-step reasoning and tool use, existing benchmarks remain largely confined to structured or exam-style tasks that fall short of real-world professional demands. To this end, we introduce \$OneMillion-Bench \$OneMillion-Bench, a benchmark of 400 expert-curated tasks spanning Law, Finance, Industry, Healthcare, and Natural Science, built to evaluate agents across economically consequential scenarios. Unlike prior work, the benchmark requires retrieving authoritative sources, resolving conflicting evidence, applying domain-specific rules, and making constraint decisions, where correctness depends as much on the reasoning process as the final answer. We adopt a rubric-based evaluation protocol scoring factual accuracy, logical coherence, practical feasibility, and professional compliance, focused on expert-level problems to ensure meaningful differentiation across agents. Together, \$OneMillion-Bench provides a unified testbed for assessing agentic reliability, professional depth, and practical readiness in domain-intensive scenarios.

Survey of Computerized Adaptive Testing: A Machine Learning Perspective

arXiv:2404.00712v3 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) offers an efficient and personalized method for assessing examinee proficiency by dynamically adjusting test questions based on individual performance. Compared to traditional, non-personalized testing methods, CAT requires fewer questions and provides more accurate assessments. As a result, CAT has been widely adopted across various fields, including education, healthcare, sports, sociology, and the evaluation of AI models. While traditional methods rely on psychometrics and statistics, the increasing complexity of large-scale testing has spurred the integration of machine learning techniques. This paper aims to provide a machine learning-focused survey on CAT, presenting a fresh perspective on this adaptive testing paradigm. We delve into measurement models, question selection algorithm, bank construction, and test control within CAT, exploring how machine learning can optimize these components. Through an analysis of current methods, strengths, limitations, and challenges, we strive to develop robust, fair, and efficient CAT systems. By bridging psychometric-driven CAT research with machine learning, this survey advocates for a more inclusive and interdisciplinary approach to the future of adaptive testing.

GarmentPile++: Affordance-Driven Cluttered Garments Retrieval with Vision-Language Reasoning

arXiv:2603.04158v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Garment manipulation has attracted increasing attention due to its critical role in home-assistant robotics. However, the majority of existing garment manipulation works assume an initial state consisting of only one garment, while piled garments are far more common in real-world settings. To bridge this gap, we propose a novel garment retrieval pipeline that can not only follow language instruction to execute safe and clean retrieval but also guarantee exactly one garment is retrieved per attempt, establishing a robust foundation for the execution of downstream tasks (e.g., folding, hanging, wearing). Our pipeline seamlessly integrates vision-language reasoning with visual affordance perception, fully leveraging the high-level reasoning and planning capabilities of VLMs alongside the generalization power of visual affordance for low-level actions. To enhance the VLM's comprehensive awareness of each garment's state within a garment pile, we employ visual segmentation model (SAM2) to execute object segmentation on the garment pile for aiding VLM-based reasoning with sufficient visual cues. A mask fine-tuning mechanism is further integrated to address scenarios where the initial segmentation results are suboptimal. In addition, a dual-arm cooperation framework is deployed to address cases involving large or long garments, as well as excessive garment sagging caused by incorrect grasping point determination, both of which are strenuous for a single arm to handle. The effectiveness of our pipeline are consistently demonstrated across diverse tasks and varying scenarios in both real-world and simulation environments. Forecasting as Rendering: A 2D Gaussian Splatting Framework for Time Series Forecasting

arXiv:2603.02220v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Time series forecasting (TSF) remains a challenging problem due to the intricate entanglement of intraperiod-fluctuations and interperiod-trends. While recent advances have attempted to reshape 1D sequences into 2D period-phase representations, they suffer from two principal limitations.Firstly, treating reshaped tensors as static images results in a topological mismatch, as standard spatial operators sever chronological continuity at grid boundaries. Secondly, relying on uniform fixed-size representations allocates modeling capacity inefficiently and fails to provide the adaptive resolution required for compressible, non-stationary temporal patterns. To address these limitations, we introduce TimeGS, a novel framework that fundamentally shifts the forecasting paradigm from regression to 2D generative rendering. By reconceptualizing the future sequence as a continuous latent surface, TimeGS utilizes the inherent anisotropy of Gaussian kernels to adaptively model complex variations with flexible geometric alignment. To realize this, we introduce a Multi-Basis Gaussian Kernel Generation (MB-GKG) block that synthesizes kernels from a fixed dictionary to stabilize optimization, and a Multi-Period Chronologically Continuous Rasterization (MP-CCR) block that enforces strict temporal continuity across periodic boundaries. Comprehensive experiments on standard benchmark datasets demonstrate that TimeGS attains state-of-the-art performance.

Neural Paging: Learning Context Management Policies for Turing-Complete Agents

arXiv:2603.02228v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: The proof that Large Language Models (LLMs) augmented with external read-write memory constitute a computationally universal system has established the theoretical foundation for general-purpose agents. However, existing implementations face a critical bottleneck: the finite and costly Context Window, which functions not as infinite memory but as a scarce semantic cache. In this work, we introduce \textit{Neural Paging}, a hierarchical architecture that decouples symbolic reasoning from information resource management. We formulate the \textit{Context Paging Problem (CPP)} and propose a lightweight, differentiable \textit{Page Controller} designed to approximate ``Semantic Belady's Optimality'' -- retaining tokens with high future utility under explicit assumptions on access patterns. We provide theoretical analysis showing that, under bounded context window size~$K$, Neural Paging reduces the asymptotic complexity of long-horizon reasoning from quadratic $O(N^2)$ to $O(N \cdot K^2)$, and we derive a robustness bound (Theorem~4) that quantifies competitive-ratio degradation under policy-dependent access with bounded sensitivity. We validate these bounds on synthetic paging traces, confirming that the theoretical guarantees hold and identifying significant slack that motivates learned policies.

Perception-R1: Advancing Multimodal Reasoning Capabilities of MLLMs via Visual Perception Reward

arXiv:2506.07218v3 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Enhancing the multimodal reasoning capabilities of Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) is a challenging task that has attracted increasing attention in the community. Recently, several studies have applied Reinforcement Learning with Verifiable Rewards (RLVR) to the multimodal domain in order to enhance the reasoning abilities of MLLMs. However, these works largely overlook the enhancement of multimodal perception capabilities in MLLMs, which serve as a core prerequisite and foundational component of complex multimodal reasoning. Through McNemar's test, we find that existing RLVR method fails to effectively enhance the multimodal perception capabilities of MLLMs, thereby limiting their further improvement in multimodal reasoning. To address this limitation, we propose Perception-R1, which introduces a novel visual perception reward that explicitly encourages MLLMs to perceive the visual content accurately, thereby can effectively incentivizing both their multimodal perception and reasoning capabilities. Specifically, we first collect textual visual annotations from the CoT trajectories of multimodal problems, which will serve as visual references for reward assignment. During RLVR training, we employ a judging LLM to assess the consistency between the visual annotations and the responses generated by MLLM, and assign the visual perception reward based on these consistency judgments. Extensive experiments on several multimodal reasoning benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness of our Perception-R1, which achieves state-of-the-art performance on most benchmarks using only 1,442 training data. Our code and dataset will be available at https://github.com/tongxiao2002/Perception-R1.

Physiologically Informed Deep Learning: A Multi-Scale Framework for Next-Generation PBPK Modeling

arXiv:2602.18472v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling is a cornerstone of model-informed drug development (MIDD), providing a mechanistic framework to predict drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME). Despite its utility, adoption is hindered by high computational costs for large-scale simulations, difficulty in parameter identification for complex biological systems, and uncertainty in interspecies extrapolation. In this work, we propose a unified Scientific Machine Learning (SciML) framework that bridges mechanistic rigor and data-driven flexibility. We introduce three contributions: (1) Foundation PBPK Transformers, which treat pharmacokinetic forecasting as a sequence modeling task; (2) Physiologically Constrained Diffusion Models (PCDM), a generative approach that uses a physics-informed loss to synthesize biologically compliant virtual patient populations; and (3) Neural Allometry, a hybrid architecture combining Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) with Neural ODEs to learn continuous cross-species scaling laws. Experiments on synthetic datasets show that the framework reduces physiological violation rates from 2.00% to 0.50% under constraints while offering a path to faster simulation.

PoTable: Towards Systematic Thinking via Plan-then-Execute Stage Reasoning on Tables

arXiv:2412.04272v4 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: In recent years, table reasoning has garnered substantial research interest, particularly regarding its integration with Large Language Models (LLMs), which have revolutionized natural language applications. Existing LLM-based studies typically achieve step-by-step thinking for table reasoning guided by task semantics. While these approaches emphasize autonomous exploration and enhance fine-grained table understanding, they often overlook systematic thinking in the reasoning process. This oversight can lead to omitted steps, disorganized logic and misleading results, especially in complex scenarios. In this paper, we propose PoTable, a novel stage-oriented plan-then-execute approach that incorporates systematic thinking into table reasoning. Specifically, PoTable involves several distinct analytical stages with clear objectives to provide adequate guidance. To accomplish stage-specific goals, PoTable employs a plan-then-execute mechanism: it first plans the operation chain based on the stage objective, and then executes operations sequentially through code generation, real-time running and feedback processing. Consequently, PoTable produces reliable table reasoning results with highly accurate, step-wise commented and completely executable programs. It mirrors the workflow of a professional data analyst, offering advantages in both accuracy and explainability. Finally, we conduct extensive experiments on four datasets from the WikiTQ and TabFact benchmarks, where the results demonstrate the effectiveness, efficiency and explainability of PoTable. Our code is available at: https://github.com/Double680/PoTable.

Mantis: A Versatile Vision-Language-Action Model with Disentangled Visual Foresight

arXiv:2511.16175v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Recent advances in Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models demonstrate that visual signals can effectively complement sparse action supervisions. However, letting VLA directly predict high-dimensional visual states can distribute model capacity and incur prohibitive training cost, while compressing visual states into more compact supervisory signals inevitably incurs information bottlenecks. Moreover, existing methods often suffer from poor comprehension and reasoning capabilities due to the neglect of language supervision. This paper introduces Mantis, a novel framework featuring a Disentangled Visual Foresight (DVF) to tackle these issues. Specifically, Mantis decouples visual foresight prediction from the backbone with the combination of meta queries and a diffusion Transformer (DiT) head. With the current visual state provided to the DiT via a residual connection, a simple next-state prediction objective enables the meta queries to automatically capture the latent actions that delineate the visual trajectory, and hence boost the learning of explicit actions. The disentanglement reduces the burden of the VLA backbone, enabling it to maintain comprehension and reasoning capabilities through language supervision. Empirically, pretrained on human manipulation videos, robot demonstrations, and image-text pairs, Mantis achieves a 96.7% success rate on LIBERO benchmark after fine-tuning, surpassing powerful baselines while exhibiting high convergence speed. Real-world evaluations show that Mantis outperforms $\pi_{0.5}$, a leading open-source VLA model, particularly in instruction-following capability, generalization to unseen instructions, and reasoning ability. Code and weights are released to support the open-source community.

STAPO: Stabilizing Reinforcement Learning for LLMs by Silencing Rare Spurious Tokens

arXiv:2602.15620v3 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Reinforcement Learning (RL) has significantly improved large language model reasoning, but existing RL fine-tuning methods rely heavily on heuristic techniques such as entropy regularization and reweighting to maintain stability. In practice, they often suffer from late-stage performance collapse, leading to degraded reasoning quality and unstable training. Our analysis shows that the magnitude of token-wise policy gradients in RL is negatively correlated with token probability and local policy entropy. We find that training instability can be caused by a tiny fraction of tokens, approximately 0.01%, which we term spurious tokens. When such tokens appear in correct responses, they contribute little to the reasoning outcome but inherit the full sequence-level reward, leading to abnormally amplified gradient updates. To mitigate this instability, we design an S2T (silencing spurious tokens) mechanism to efficiently identify spurious tokens through characteristic signals with low probability, low entropy, and positive advantage, and then suppress their gradient perturbations during optimization. Incorporating this mechanism into a group-based objective, we propose Spurious-Token-Aware Policy Optimization (STAPO), which promotes stable and effective large-scale model refinement. Across six mathematical reasoning benchmarks using Qwen 1.7B, 8B, and 14B base models, STAPO consistently demonstrates superior entropy stability and achieves an average performance improvement of 7.13% ($\rho_{\mathrm{T}}$=1.0, top-p=1.0) and 3.69% ($\rho_{\mathrm{T}}$=0.7, top-p=0.9) over GRPO, 20-Entropy, and JustRL.
