NI-Tex: Non-isometric Image-based Garment Texture Generation

arXiv:2511.18765v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Existing industrial 3D garment meshes already cover most real-world clothing geometries, yet their texture diversity remains limited. To acquire more realistic textures, generative methods are often used to extract Physically-based Rendering (PBR) textures and materials from large collections of wild images and project them back onto garment meshes. However, most image-conditioned texture generation approaches require strict topological consistency between the input image and the input 3D mesh, or rely on accurate mesh deformation to match to the image poses, which significantly constrains the texture generation quality and flexibility. To address the challenging problem of non-isometric image-based garment texture generation, we construct 3D Garment Videos, a physically simulated, garment-centric dataset that provides consistent geometry and material supervision across diverse deformations, enabling robust cross-pose texture learning. We further employ Nano Banana for high-quality non-isometric image editing, achieving reliable cross-topology texture generation between non-isometric image-geometry pairs. Finally, we propose an iterative baking method via uncertainty-guided view selection and reweighting that fuses multi-view predictions into seamless, production-ready PBR textures. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate that our feedforward dual-branch architecture generates versatile and spatially aligned PBR materials suitable for industry-level 3D garment design.

A Very Big Video Reasoning Suite

arXiv:2602.20159v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Rapid progress in video models has largely focused on visual quality, leaving their reasoning capabilities underexplored. Video reasoning grounds intelligence in spatiotemporally consistent visual environments that go beyond what text can naturally capture, enabling intuitive reasoning over spatiotemporal structure such as continuity, interaction, and causality. However, systematically studying video reasoning and its scaling behavior is hindered by the lack of large-scale training data. To address this gap, we introduce the Very Big Video Reasoning (VBVR) Dataset, an unprecedentedly large-scale resource spanning 200 curated reasoning tasks following a principled taxonomy and over one million video clips, approximately three orders of magnitude larger than existing datasets. We further present VBVR-Bench, a verifiable evaluation framework that moves beyond model-based judging by incorporating rule-based, human-aligned scorers, enabling reproducible and interpretable diagnosis of video reasoning capabilities. Leveraging the VBVR suite, we conduct one of the first large-scale scaling studies of video reasoning and observe early signs of emergent generalization to unseen reasoning tasks. Together, VBVR lays a foundation for the next stage of research in generalizable video reasoning. The data, benchmark toolkit, and models are publicly available at https://video-reason.com/ .

BitHydra: Towards Bit-flip Inference Cost Attack against Large Language Models

arXiv:2505.16670v4 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Large language models (LLMs) are widely deployed, but their substantial compute demands make them vulnerable to inference cost attacks that aim to deliberately maximize the output length. In this work, we investigate a distinct attack surface: maximizing inference cost by tampering with the model parameters instead of inputs. This approach leverages the established capability of Bit-Flip Attacks (BFAs) to persistently alter model behavior via minute weight perturbations, effectively decoupling the attack from specific input queries. To realize this, we propose BitHydra, a framework that addresses the unique optimization challenge of identifying the exact weight bits that maximize generation cost. We formulate the attack as a constrained Binary Integer Programming (BIP) problem designed to systematically suppress the end-of-sequence (i.e., ) probability. To overcome the intractability of the discrete search space, we relax the problem into a continuous optimization task and solve it via the Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM). We evaluate BitHydra across 10 LLMs (1.5B-16B). Our results demonstrate that the proposed optimization method efficiently achieves endless generation with as few as 1-4 bit flips on all testing models, verifying the effectiveness of the ADMM-based formulation against both standard models and potential defenses.

ALOE: Action-Level Off-Policy Evaluation for Vision-Language-Action Model Post-Training

arXiv:2602.12691v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: We study how to improve large foundation vision-language-action (VLA) systems through online reinforcement learning (RL) in real-world settings. Central to this process is the value function, which provides learning signals to guide VLA learning from experience. In practice, the value function is estimated from trajectory fragments collected from different data sources, including historical policies and intermittent human interventions. Estimating the value function of current behavior quality from the mixture data is inherently an off-policy evaluation problem. However, prior work often adopts conservative on-policy estimation for stability, which avoids direct evaluation of the current high-capacity policy and limits learning effectiveness. In this paper, we propose ALOE, an action-level off-policy evaluation framework for VLA post-training. ALOE applies chunking-based temporal-difference bootstrapping to evaluate individual action sequences instead of predicting final task outcomes. This design improves effective credit assignment to critical action chunks under sparse rewards and supports stable policy improvement. We evaluate our method on three real-world manipulation tasks, including smartphone packing as a high-precision task, laundry folding as a long-horizon deformable-object task, and bimanual pick-and-place involving multi-object perception. Across all tasks, ALOE improves learning efficiency without compromising execution speed, showing that off-policy RL can be reintroduced in a reliable manner for real-world VLA post-training. Videos and additional materials are available at our project website.
