Stage-Based Model of User Engagement Patterns in an Online Health Community for Cardiovascular Disease Management: Qualitative Interview Study
Background: Online health communities (OHCs) provide vital peer support and health information to individuals managing chronic conditions. However, sustained user engagement remains challenging, with many users reducing activity over time despite the ongoing benefits these platforms offer. While some individuals may improve or become more knowledgeable, sustained engagement remains critical because ongoing participation fosters trust, peer support, and continuous access to evolving health inform

ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Despite the surging global prevalence of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and related liver fibrosis, effective treatments remain limited. While the traditional Chinese medicine Juanyu-Xiaozhi Formula (JYXZF) is used against MASLD, its bioactive components and mechanisms are poorly understood. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of JYXZF and elucidate its underlying mechanisms of action.
METHODS: The constituents of JYXZF were characterized using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). Its efficacy was evaluated in a rat model of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) induced by a high-fat/calorie diet with high-fructose/high-glucose water, utilizing serum biochemistry, histology, and glucose/insulin tolerance tests. Mechanistic validation was performed in free fatty acid-treated human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line HepG2 (HepG2) cells and HepG2/human hepatic stellate cell line LX-2 (LX-2) co-culture models using luciferase assays, chromatin immunoprecipitation-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (ChIP-qPCR), and activator protein 1 (AP-1) overexpression rescue experiments. The functional relevance of stearoyl-CoA desaturase 1 (SCD1) was further assessed in vivo through liver-targeted adeno-associated virus (AAV)-mediated Scd1 overexpression.
RESULTS: Flavonoids were identified as the main bioactive constituents. JYXZF administration alleviated metabolic dysfunction, reduced hepatic lipid accumulation, and attenuated inflammation and fibrosis in MASH rats. Multi-omics integration and machine learning-assisted target prioritization identified lipid metabolic and inflammatory pathways. Among these pathways, we selected the AP-1/peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ)/SCD1-related lipogenic pathway for functional validation. Target perturbation experiments supported the functional involvement of AP-1 in the regulation of the PPARγ/SCD1 pathway and its contribution to the anti-steatotic effects of JYXZF.
CONCLUSIONS: JYXZF alleviates MASLD-associated steatosis and fibrosis via the AP-1/PPARγ/SCD1-related lipogenic axis, demonstrating its therapeutic potential for MASLD/MASH and providing a mechanistic basis for future clinical applications.

Autoregression-Free Neural Operators for Time-Dependent PDEs
arXiv:2605.25413v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Neural operators learn mappings from function-dependent inputs to solutions, providing an effective framework for solving partial differential equations (PDEs). For time-dependent PDEs, existing methods typically perform long-horizon prediction through autoregressive rollout directly in high-dimensional physical field spaces, where each predicted state is recursively fed back as the input for the next step. Although effective for short-term pred

arXiv:2605.23491v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Recently, Reinforcement Learning with Verifiable Rewards (RLVR) and Test-Time Scaling (TTS) have advanced LLM code generation through executable verification. Yet Ground-Truth Unit Tests (GT UTs) remain a bottleneck: SOTA RLVR methods require them for costly training, while existing TTS methods lose competitiveness without them. This motivates GT-free TTS, where existing methods directly use self-generated UTs to refine and select code c

Harmonized Tabular-Image Fusion via Gradient-Aligned Alternating Learning
arXiv:2604.01579v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Multimodal tabular-image fusion is an emerging task that has received increasing attention in various domains. However, existing methods may be hindered by gradient conflicts between modalities, misleading the optimization of the unimodal learner. In this paper, we propose a novel Gradient-Aligned Alternating Learning (GAAL) paradigm to address this issue by aligning modality gradients. Specifically, GAAL adopts an alternating unimodal learning

Towards unified brain-to-text decoding across speech production and perception
arXiv:2603.12628v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Speech production and perception are the main ways humans communicate daily. Prior brain-to-text decoding studies have largely focused on a single modality and alphabetic languages. Here, we present a unified brain-to-sentence decoding framework for both speech production and perception in Mandarin Chinese. The framework exhibits strong generalization ability, enabling sentence-level decoding when trained only on single-character data and supporti

Efficient and Interpretable Multi-Agent LLM Routing via Ant Colony Optimization
arXiv:2603.12933v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Large Language Model (LLM)-driven Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) have demonstrated strong capability in complex reasoning and tool use, and heterogeneous agent pools further broaden the quality--cost trade-off space. Despite these advances, real-world deployment is often constrained by high inference cost, latency, and limited transparency, which hinders scalable and efficient routing. Existing routing strategies typically rely on expensive LLM-based s

Re2: A Consistency-ensured Dataset for Full-stage Peer Review and Multi-turn Rebuttal Discussions
arXiv:2505.07920v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Peer review is a critical component of scientific progress in the fields like AI, but the rapid increase in submission volume has strained the reviewing system, which inevitably leads to reviewer shortages and declines review quality. Besides the growing research popularity, another key factor in this overload is the repeated resubmission of substandard manuscripts, largely due to the lack of effective tools for authors to self-evaluate

AI Agents and Epidemic Intelligence on Respiratory Infectious Diseases: Toward a Conceptual Framework Integrating Decision Support
Traditional epidemic intelligence relies heavily on human epidemiologists for data interpretation and reporting, which makes it resource intensive, slow to respond, and vulnerable to variability in professional expertise. To overcome these limitations, we propose an expanded conceptual epidemic intelligence quadripartite framework that extends the classical trinity of (1) surveillance, (2) risk evaluation, and (3) early warning with a fourth pillar, (4) decision support and intervention optimiza

Quantum-Inspired Fine-Tuning for Few-Shot AIGC Detection via Phase-Structured Reparameterization
arXiv:2603.02281v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Recent studies show that quantum neural networks (QNNs) generalize well in few-shot regimes. To extend this advantage to large-scale tasks, we propose Q-LoRA, a quantum-enhanced fine-tuning scheme that integrates lightweight QNNs into the low-rank adaptation (LoRA) adapter. Applied to AI-generated content (AIGC) detection, Q-LoRA consistently outperforms standard LoRA under few-shot settings. We analyze the source of this improvement and identif
