SPACE: Unifying Symmetric and Asymmetric Routing Problems for Generalist Neural Solver

arXiv:2605.24484v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Generalist neural routing solvers have shown great potential in solving diverse vehicle routing problems (VRPs) with a unified model. However, existing solvers are typically limited to symmetric settings or degrade in performance when switching to asymmetric settings due to input inconsistencies or inherent structural differences, substantially limiting their practicality in real-world scenarios that encompass both scenarios. To address this limitation, we define the spatial position of each node based on the relative distances to a specific set of pivots and further propose a Spatial Pivot-Aligned Coordinate-free Embedding (SPACE) framework that unifies node representation and solution generation across symmetric and asymmetric VRPs. Specifically, we construct a bidirectional Frechet representation using a novel furthest pivot sampling strategy to enable invariant node representations across distinct problem settings. Furthermore, we introduce a weight-decomposed adaptive decoding mechanism that decouples geometric perception from problem representations, mitigating the overfitting of constraint decisions to a specific geometry setting. Extensive experiments on 110 VRP variants, comprising 55 symmetric problems and their asymmetric counterparts, demonstrate that SPACE achieves promising zero-shot generalization in both symmetric and asymmetric VRPs.

Everything at Every Scale: Scale-Invariant Diffusion with Continuous Super-Resolution

arXiv:2605.26032v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Creating images from noise is image generation; reconstructing fine details from coarse inputs is super-resolution. Despite their practical differences, both can be understood as reversing information loss across scales. We introduce $\textbf{SKILD}$, a $\textbf{S}$cale-invariant $\textbf{K}$-Space $\textbf{I}$mage $\textbf{L}$earning $\textbf{D}$iffusion model that unifies generation and continuous super-resolution within a single unconditional framework. Both natural images and critical physical systems exhibit scale invariance, and we leverage it to design a forward process that attenuates image content from fine to coarse scales while injecting spectrum-matched Gaussian noise, making scale an explicit coordinate of the diffusion dynamics. The same trained reverse process performs generation and continuous super-resolution by varying only the starting timestep: $\textit{no task-specific architecture, no conditioning branch, no classifier-free guidance, no retraining per scale factor}$. Empirically, SKILD reaches FID $2.65$ and Inception Score $9.63$ on unconditional CIFAR-10, performs $2\times$--$8\times$ super-resolution on ImageNet from a single unconditional checkpoint while outperforming conditional models across perceptual metrics, and reconstructs critical Ising models whose connected four-point correlations closely track the ground truth.

Multi-omics Analysis Reveals the Protection of a Quadruple Probiotic Mixture in Experimental Autoimmune Hepatitis

Probiotics Antimicrob Proteins. 2026 May 23. doi: 10.1007/s12602-026-11062-2. Online ahead of print.

ABSTRACT

Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is a chronic progressive inflammatory liver disease with a rising global incidence. The treatment of AIH remains challenging because first-line drugs show limited efficacy and systemic side effects. Gut microbiota plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of AIH, leading to growing interest in developing probiotic-based therapies. In this study, we used multi-omics analysis to investigate the therapeutic effects of a quadruple probiotic mixture (Probiotic-quad) consisting of Bifidobacterium infantis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Enterococcus faecalis, and Bacillus cereus in a well-established chronic AIH murine model. Our results showed that Probiotic-quad treatment significantly alleviated AIH progression, as evidenced by lower serum liver enzyme levels, ameliorated hepatic inflammatory infiltration and histopathological damage. Metagenomic sequencing results showed that gut dysbiosis in AIH mice was partially reversed after Probiotic-quad administration. Additionally, the integrity of the intestinal epithelial barrier was restored, accompanied by a reduction in serum lipopolysaccharide levels. Untargeted metabolomic and transcriptomic analysis revealed that Probiotic-quad treatment was linked to alterations in hepatic metabolism, including the citrate cycle and tryptophan metabolism, and was associated with reduced activation of the NF-κB and NOD-like receptor signaling pathways. These findings suggest that Probiotic-quad treatment ameliorates AIH severity and is potentially associated with changes in hepatic immune responses, metabolism, gut microbiota, and intestinal barrier function, highlighting its potential as an adjuvant therapy for AIH.

DreamAudio: Customized Text-to-Audio Generation with Diffusion Models

arXiv:2509.06027v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: With the development of large-scale diffusion-based and language-modeling-based generative models, impressive progress has been achieved in text-to-audio generation. Despite producing high-quality outputs, existing text-to-audio models mainly aim to generate semantically aligned sound and fall short of controlling fine-grained acoustic characteristics of specific sounds. As a result, users who need specific sound content may find it difficult to generate the desired audio clips. In this paper, we present DreamAudio for customized text-to-audio generation (CTTA). Specifically, we introduce a new framework that is designed to enable the model to identify auditory information from user-provided reference concepts for audio generation. Given a few reference audio samples containing personalized audio events, our system can generate new audio samples that include these specific events. In addition, two types of datasets are developed for training and testing the proposed systems. The experiments show that DreamAudio generates audio samples that are highly consistent with the customized audio features and aligned well with the input text prompts. Furthermore, DreamAudio offers comparable performance in general text-to-audio tasks. We also provide a human-involved dataset containing audio events from real-world CTTA cases as the benchmark for customized generation tasks.

HSSBench: Benchmarking Humanities and Social Sciences Ability for Multimodal Large Language Models

arXiv:2506.03922v3 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have demonstrated significant potential to advance a broad range of domains. However, current benchmarks for evaluating MLLMs primarily emphasize general knowledge and vertical step-by-step reasoning typical of STEM disciplines, while overlooking the distinct needs and potential of the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS). Tasks in the HSS domain require more horizontal, interdisciplinary thinking and a deep integration of knowledge across related fields, which presents unique challenges for MLLMs, particularly in linking abstract concepts with corresponding visual representations. Addressing this gap, we present HSSBench, a dedicated benchmark designed to assess the capabilities of MLLMs on HSS tasks in multiple languages, including the six official languages of the United Nations. We also introduce a novel data generation pipeline tailored for HSS scenarios, in which multiple domain experts and automated agents collaborate to generate and iteratively refine each sample. HSSBench contains over 13,000 meticulously designed samples, covering six key categories. We benchmark more than 20 mainstream MLLMs on HSSBench and demonstrate that it poses significant challenges even for state-of-the-art models. We hope that this benchmark will inspire further research into enhancing the cross-disciplinary reasoning abilities of MLLMs, especially their capacity to internalize and connect knowledge across fields.

RAIR: A Rule-Aware Benchmark Uniting Challenging Long-Tail and Visual Salience Subset for E-commerce Relevance Assessment

arXiv:2512.24943v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Search relevance plays a central role in web e-commerce. While large language models (LLMs) have shown significant results on relevance task, existing benchmarks lack sufficient complexity for comprehensive model assessment, resulting in an absence of standardized relevance evaluation metrics across the industry. To address this limitation, we propose Rule-Aware benchmark with Image for Relevance assessment(RAIR), a Chinese dataset derived from real-world scenarios. RAIR established a standardized framework for relevance assessment and provides a set of universal rules, which forms the foundation for standardized evaluation. Additionally, RAIR analyzes essential capabilities required for current relevance models and introduces a comprehensive dataset consists of three subset: (1) a general subset with industry-balanced sampling to evaluate fundamental model competencies; (2) a long-tail hard subset focus on challenging cases to assess performance limits; (3) a visual salience subset for evaluating multimodal understanding capabilities. We conducted experiments on RAIR using 14 open and closed-source models. The results demonstrate that RAIR presents sufficient challenges even for GPT-5, which achieved the best performance. RAIR data are now available, serving as an industry benchmark for relevance assessment while providing new insights into general LLM and Visual Language Model(VLM) evaluation.
