Online Video Agent Harness for Long Video Understanding
arXiv:2609.12818v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Long video understanding often behaves like a visual needle-in-a-haystack problem: query-relevant evidence is sparsely distributed across long temporal spans, while packing dense frames into a single VLM context incurs \textit{context rot} and high cost. Existing video agents often rely on query-agnostic offline preprocessing or ad hoc tool sets, which can miss query-specific details and waste computation. In this work, we present VideoXAgent, a

Yet evaluation for AV generation remains at an early stage, with only a few coarse-grained benchmarks for human-related scenarios and relying on limited preset evaluations with generic multimodal LLMs, leading to inaccurate assessments of model capabilities. Low-Bitrate Video Compression through Semantic-Conditioned Diffusion
arXiv:2512.00408v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Traditional video codecs optimized for pixel fidelity collapse at ultra-low bitrates and produce severe artifacts. This failure arises from a fundamental misalignment between pixel accuracy and human perception. We propose a semantic video compression framework named DiSCo that transmits only the most meaningful information while relying on generative priors for detail synthesis. The source video is decomposed into three compact modaliti

Do Phone-Use Agents Respect Your Privacy?
arXiv:2604.00986v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: We study whether phone-use agents respect privacy while completing benign mobile tasks. This question has remained hard to answer because privacy-compliant behavior is not operationalized for phone-use agents, and ordinary apps do not reveal exactly what data agents type into which form entries during execution. To make this question measurable, we introduce MyPhoneBench, a verifiable evaluation framework for privacy behavior in mobile a

The proposed semi-amortized lifted learning-to-optimize (SALLO) framework employs a multi-layer Transformer to iteratively refine an auxiliary variable and the beamformer solution, with a few projected gradient ascent steps at each layer. arXiv:2603.22369v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Accurate prediction of synthetic lethality (SL) is important for guiding the development of cancer drugs and therapies. SL prediction faces significant challenges in the effective fusion of heterogeneous multi-source data. Existing multimodal methods often suffer from "modality laziness" due to disparate convergence speeds, which hinders the exploitation of complementary information. This is also one reason why most existing SL prediction models

ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) exhibits high recurrence rates and limited therapeutic options. Endothelial cell-specific molecule 1 (ESM1) and angiopoietin-like 4 (ANGPTL4) are implicated in tumor progression, yet their synergistic role in HCC lipid metabolism and angiogenesis remains unexplored.
METHODS: We integrated multi-omics approaches, including RNA sequencing, metabolomics, and immunoprecipitation-mass spectrometry, in HCC cell lines and patient-derived xenograft models. Key experiments involved Co-IP, Western blotting, tube formation assays, and clinical tissue microarray analysis to validate the ESM1-ANGPTL4-FASN-trioleate axis.
RESULTS: ESM1 and ANGPTL4 formed a positive feedback loop, stabilizing fatty acid synthase (FASN) to promote trioleate synthesis. Trioleate activated the NF-κB/IL-17 pathway in HCC cells and upregulated CD99 in endothelial cells, driving angiogenesis. In vivo, ESM1/ANGPTL4 knockdown suppressed tumor growth, which was rescued by trioleate supplementation. Clinical data revealed elevated ESM1/ANGPTL4 expression in bevacizumab-resistant HCC, correlating with poor prognosis.
CONCLUSIONS: The ESM1-ANGPTL4-FASN-trioleate axis orchestrates metabolic reprogramming and endothelial activation, representing a promising therapeutic target. Future studies should explore combination therapies targeting this axis and overcoming bevacizumab resistance in HCC.

Network Topology Optimization via Deep Reinforcement Learning
arXiv:2204.14133v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Topology impacts important network performance metrics, including link utilization, throughput and latency, and is of central importance to network operators.
