Azure Virtual Desktop Hybrid Reaches GA with Licensing Details Unpublished

Microsoft has made Azure Virtual Desktop Hybrid generally available. Session hosts run on customer hardware through Azure Arc while brokering stays in Azure. The Hybrid service license is unpriced, Windows Server support requires RDS CALs with Software Assurance, and multi-session Windows is not supported at all.

Zone Redundancy Comes to API Management Standard v2

Microsoft has enabled zone redundancy on the Standard v2 tier of Azure API Management, following its arrival on Premium v2 in December. Standard v2 starts at $700 per month against $2,801 for Premium v2, but carries a 99.95% SLA rather than 99.99%. Zone redundancy can only be configured when creating an instance.

Anthropic Accidentally Exposes Claude Code Source via npm Source Map File

Anthropic's Claude Code CLI had its full TypeScript source exposed after a source map file was accidentally included in version 2.1.88 of its npm package. The 512,000-line codebase was archived to GitHub within hours. Anthropic called it a packaging error caused by human error. The leak revealed unreleased features, internal model codenames, and multi-agent orchestration architecture.

Dynamic Languages Faster and Cheaper in 13-Language Claude Code Benchmark

A 600-run benchmark by Ruby committer Yusuke Endoh tested Claude Code across 13 languages, implementing a simplified Git. Ruby, Python, and JavaScript were the fastest and cheapest, at $0.36- $0.39 per run. Statistically typed languages cost 1.4-2.6x more. Adding type checkers to dynamic languages imposed 1.6-3.2x slowdowns. Full dataset available on GitHub.

GitHub will use Copilot interaction data from Free, Pro, and Pro+ users to train AI models starting April 24, opting in by default. Collected data includes code snippets, inputs, outputs, and navigation patterns from active sessions, including private repos. Business and Enterprise tiers are excluded. Community concerns include dark patterns, IP exposure, and GDPR compliance.
