AgenticGen: Reward-Guided Agentic Video Generation for Advertising

arXiv:2609.09187v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Advertising video generation is not only a video synthesis task, but also a product-conditioned reasoning problem whose success is measured by online business metrics. Recent video foundation models can generate realistic clips from multimodal conditions, yet they do not optimize how a product should be transformed into an effective advertisement or how future generation should be improved from online business feedback. To close this loop, we propose AgenticGen, a reward-guided agentic framework that decomposes advertising video generation into two trainable reasoning stages, strategy selection and draft generation, thereby exposing optimization targets that online business feedback can supervise. AgenticGen learns a performance-based reward from accumulated online feedback and a complementary rubric-based reward aligned with human quality standards, then uses them to supervise policy optimization. DPO first moves the agentic policies toward online preferences, and GRPO further refines both stages with process and outcome rewards. Offline experiments validate the reward models and successive policy optimization. Online A/B experiments in the TikTok advertising system show that AgenticGen after DPO and GRPO improves CTR by 2.72%, CVR by 2.63%, and Advv by 9.61% over the SFT baseline.

EditCaption: Human-Refined SFT and HAE-DPO for Image Editing Instruction Synthesis

arXiv:2604.08213v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: High-quality source-target image pairs with precise editing instructions are essential for instruction-guided image editing, yet constructing such training triplets at scale remains costly. Recent pipelines often rely on vision-language models to synthesize editing instructions automatically, but we find that strong VLMs still struggle to describe visual transformations between image pairs. In particular, they exhibit three recurring failure modes: orientation inconsistency, viewpoint ambiguity, and missing fine-grained attributes. In a human evaluation on 400 image pairs, several open-source VLM baselines produce critical-error rates above 47\%, making many synthesized instructions unsuitable for downstream training. To address this, we propose EditCaption, a two-stage post-training pipeline for image editing instruction synthesis. First, we construct a 100K supervised fine-tuning dataset through GLM-based auto-captioning, EditScore filtering, and human refinement. Second, we collect 10K human-annotated preference pairs, where each rejected instruction is labeled with its primary error type and severity. Based on this dataset, we propose Hardness-Adaptive Error-Aware DPO (HAE-DPO), a task-adapted DPO objective that introduces an adaptive margin based on human-labeled severity, failure-mode type, and reference-model hardness. Experiments across three benchmarks demonstrate that our 235B model with SFT+HAE-DPO achieves state-of-the-art performance among open-source and closed models, scoring 4.720 on Eval-400, 4.672 on HQ-Edit, and 4.651 on ByteMorph-Bench -- surpassing Gemini-3-Pro on all three. Human evaluation confirms critical error rates drop from 47.75\% to 17.50\%, with correct rates improving from 41.75\% to 70.25\%, surpassing Gemini-3-Pro (66.00\%).

Scale over Preference: The Impact of AI-Generated Content on Online Content Ecology

arXiv:2604.01690v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: The rapid proliferation of Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC) is fundamentally restructuring online content ecologies, necessitating a rigorous examination of its behavioral and distributional implications. Leveraging a comprehensive longitudinal dataset comprising tens of millions of users from a leading Chinese video-sharing platform, this study elucidated the distinct creation and consumption behaviors characterizing AIGC versus Human-Generated Content (HGC). We identified a prevalent scale-over-preference dynamic, wherein AIGC creators achieve aggregate engagement comparable to HGC creators through high-volume production, despite a marked consumer preference for HGC. Deeper analysis uncovered the ability of the algorithmic content distribution mechanism in moderating these competing interests regarding AIGC. These findings advocated for the implementation of AIGC-sensitive distribution algorithms and precise governance frameworks to ensure the long-term health of the online content platforms.

CosyAccent: Duration-Controllable Accent Normalization Using Source-Synthesis Training Data

arXiv:2602.19166v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Accent normalization (AN) systems often struggle with unnatural outputs and undesired content distortion, stemming from both suboptimal training data and rigid duration modeling. In this paper, we propose a "source-synthesis" methodology for training data construction. By generating source L2 speech and using authentic native speech as the training target, our approach avoids learning from TTS artifacts and, crucially, requires no real L2 data in training. Alongside this data strategy, we introduce CosyAccent, a non-autoregressive model that resolves the trade-off between prosodic naturalness and duration control. CosyAccent implicitly models rhythm for flexibility yet offers explicit control over total output duration. Experiments show that, despite being trained without any real L2 speech, CosyAccent achieves significantly improved content preservation and superior naturalness compared to strong baselines trained on real-world data.
